How do I add Sponsors/Advertisers to my website?

Modified on Wed, 22 May at 12:27 PM

You must be on the Premium plan before sponsors/advertisers can be added to your website. Please click here for further information on how to upgrade. When you are, there are two ways to add sponsors/advertisers.

You can add them yourselves and take payment off platform. To do this browse to "Admin" > "Sponsorship" and click on the "Add Sponsor" button. A modal window will appear for your to complete the sponsors information:

Once completed press the "Add Sponsor" button.

Please click here to see where these will appear on your website.

Secondly, you can add a product group for advertising in order to take payment for them through your website and raise further funds for your organisation.

To do this browse to "Admin" > "Product Groups" and then click on the "Add Product Group" button. Add an Organiser, a 'Name' (e.g. Advertising) and select 'Type' (Advertising/Sponsorship). Enter the start and end dates and times that you would like the product group to be available to purchase. We suggest entering an end date far into the future so the associated product types stay available to purchase in your shop. Then set the fee type's and click on the 'Add product group' button.

You can then use the newly available product group to add "Primary Advertising", "Secondary Advertising" and "Business Directory" entries for sale via your website.

To do this select 'Products/Vouchers' from the product management menu for the 'Advertising' product group you have just created.

Then select 'Add Product' from the 'Manage' dropdown list. Enter a SKU (e.g. PRIMADV or SECADV), a 'Name' and select the relevant 'Type' from the dropdown list (Primary Advertising, Secondary Advertising or Business Directory).

The start date will automatically be picked up from the moment of purchase and the advertisement will expire after one year for Primary, Secondary and Business Directory listings so you do not need to add them here.

You can set your own prices for advertising which enables you to raise funds far in excess of the annual premium charge. We would recommend charging a minimum of £300 per annum for Primary advertising and £150 per annum for Secondary advertising and £50 per annum for a Business Directory listing.

Enter the Stock Quantity to your maximum (we suggest 8) for Primary and Secondary advertising, but a higher number for the Business Directory.

Your customer can then find these products in your Shop page under 'Uniform and Merchandise'. Upon successful checkout all the information for the business will be captured (logo's, images, contact details etc.) and will be auto populated on the sponsorship and business directory pages.
