Transaction fees apply to payments made through the PTA Events platform, as outlined below:
Stripe payment processing fees
Standard rate: 1.5% + 20p
Registered charities or verified non-profit organisations: 1.2% + 20p
Stripe Link payments: 1.5% + 20p
PTA Events platform fees
Starter (Free) plan: 3.95% platform fee on all standard* transactions
Premium plan: 1.5% platform fee on all standard* transactions
Your PTA Events website remains completely free to your organisation. There are no direct charges to you, and platform fees can be passed on to your community in the same way as payment processing fees.
Stripe account settings
Within the PTA Events platform, you can set your Stripe account type to either “Business” or “Charity” (once your charity status has been verified by Stripe). This ensures that Stripe’s correct default fees are applied to your customers’ payments.
Important note
As we are unable to determine whether a customer will use American Express or a non-European card until after the payment has been completed, the fee cannot be adjusted once calculated. In some cases, this may result in a higher processing fee.
