How can I hide the class list?

To hide the requirement for class list information on checkout browse to "Admin" > "Events" > "Manage" > Tickets/Products"

Click on the SKU or 'Edit' from the manage menu of the relevant product and from there you check the box marked "Hide Class":

Then click on the "Update Product" button.
