How can I create a short URL for my event?

Short URLs are widely used to help with sharing web addresses. You have the option in your event management menu to create a short URL for your event which you can then distribute to your community. Please note - All short URLs created will only use the pta.events domain. 

Browse to "Admin" > "Events" and select "Create Short URL" from the "Manage" menu for the relevant event:

A modal window will appear where you can choose to create your own URL, or we can create one automatically that will be made of a small number of characters and numbers. For example, you could create a short URL for your disco event at pta.events/thegroveptadisco which will redirect to your disco event:  

The path can only contain letters (upper and lower case), numbers, hyphens and forward slashes. You can leave the path blank to have one auto-generated.

Then click on the "Create Short URL" button.

Please note - it is currently not possible to delete or edit the short URL once it has been created although this will be available soon.
