In some situations, you may want to restrict access to specific events or product groups by using a password. This allows you to control who can view and purchase associated products.
Setting a Password for an Event
Navigate to Admin > Events.
Locate the relevant event and select Edit from the Manage menu.

3. Scroll down to the Event Password field.

4. Enter a password for the event.
The password must be 5–20 characters long.
Passwords are not case-sensitive.
5. Save your changes.
Once the password has been set, you can share it with the relevant customers.
Viewing Password-Protected Events
From the Events admin page, you can easily see which events or product groups are password protected.

Customer Experience on the Shop Page
On the Shop page, products associated with password-protected events will not be visible until the correct password is entered.

Customers will first see a password prompt, where they can enter the event password to gain access to the products.

If customers are using a shared or public browser, we recommend clearing the password field once access is no longer needed to prevent unintended access by others.

Note:
To apply a password to a product group instead of an event, navigate to Admin > Product Groups and follow the same process.
