The PTA Events, Clubs Hub, and Charity Hub websites are secured using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to give you added peace of mind. SSL ensures that sensitive information (such as login credentials) is transmitted securely between your browser and our servers.
Without SSL, data sent between browsers and web servers can be transmitted in plain text, making it vulnerable to interception. If an attacker were able to intercept this data, they could potentially view and misuse it. SSL encryption prevents this by protecting the data while it is in transit.
PayPal also uses SSL to secure the connection between your browser and their website when you make payments for any purchased products.
In addition, we use the Cloudflare Web Application Firewall (WAF) to further strengthen our security. Cloudflare’s WAF blocks malicious traffic and helps protect our website from common web threats and more advanced attacks before they ever reach our servers.
