How secure is the platform?

The PTA Events/Clubs Hub/Charity Hub website is secured using SSL technology for your extra peace of mind. SSL allows sensitive information such as your login credentials to be transmitted securely. Normally, data sent between browsers and web servers is sent in plain text leaving you vulnerable to eavesdropping. If an attacker is able to intercept all data being sent between a browser and a web server they can see and use that information. PayPal also use SSL to secure the connection between the client's browser and their website when paying for any products purchased.

We also use the CloudFlare Web Application Firewall (WAF) to further enhance our security. CloudFlare’s WAF stops attacks at the network edge, protecting our website from common web threats and specialized attacks before they reach our servers. See https://www.cloudflare.com/waf/ for more information.

PTA Events Ltd are registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) the details of which can be seen using the link below. We take the security of data very seriously. Backups of the database are currently stored in secure cloud storage.
