We’ve made it quick and easy to set up a Prize Draw (Online Raffle) or Raffle (Offline) using an event template.
Step 1: Create an Event from a Template
Go to Admin > Events
Select Add Event from Template
Choose either:
Prize Draw (Online Raffle), or
Raffle (Offline)

This will open a modal window where you can enter the basic details for your Prize Draw or Raffle.
Step 2: Enter Event Details
Complete the following information:
Name
The name of your Prize Draw or Raffle (for example, Christmas Raffle or Summer Prize Draw).Date and Time
When the Prize Draw or Raffle will take place.Fee Type (for payment processing)
Choose one of the following options:Compulsory (default): Customers must pay the fees, which are added to the basket.
Voluntary: Customers can choose whether to contribute towards the fees.
None: Any fees have already been included in your ticket price.
Terms and Conditions
Carefully read and agree to the relevant terms:Prize Draw (Online Raffle) Terms, or
Raffle (Offline) Terms.
Once complete, click Save and continue.

Step 3: Set Ticket Pricing
Next, enter the price of a single ticket. We’ll automatically create ticket bundles to make it easier for your community to purchase multiple tickets.
Example: £1 ticket
£1 (1 ticket)
£5 (5 tickets)
£10 (10 tickets)
£15 (15 tickets)
£20 (20 tickets)
Example: £0.50 ticket
£0.50 (1 ticket)
£2.50 (5 tickets)
£5 (10 tickets)
£7.50 (15 tickets)
£10 (20 tickets)
Click Save and continue to proceed.

Step 4: Add Prizes
Enter the names of your prizes.
You can add up to 30 prizes at this stage using the template.
Additional prizes can be added later if needed.
Click Save and continue.

Step 5: Add Volunteers
Enter the number of volunteers required to run your Prize Draw (Online Raffle) efficiently and effectively.

Step 6: Create Your Event
Click Create template event to finish.
Your event will now be live with:
Ticket bundles available for immediate purchase
Prizes listed and ready to manage
You can add further prize details at any time, including descriptions, images, and donor information. To do this, select Prizes from the Manage menu within your Prize Draw event.

To comply with UK gambling legislation, a free entry route is automatically provided to customers. Please click here for further information.
- Lottery Licence Requirement
A valid lottery licence is required for both offline raffles and online prize draws. Stripe classifies the sale of raffle and prize draw tickets as gambling activity and requires confirmation that organisations are charitable and appropriately licensed. Please click here for further information.
