Dependent products are useful when one item must be purchased alongside another. For example, you may want to sell a child ticket that requires an adult ticket to be purchased at the same time.
How to set up a dependent product
Go to Admin > Events.
From the Manage menu of the relevant event, select Tickets/Products.
3. In the product management menu, select Add Product.
4. Enter the product details as usual.
5. In the Dependent Product field, choose the required product from the dropdown list.
How dependent products work for customers
On the Shop/Events page, products with dependencies are clearly indicated.
Customers can add the dependent product to their basket.
However, they will not be able to complete the checkout process unless the required dependent product is also included in their basket.
This ensures that linked products, such as child and adult tickets, are always purchased together as intended.
